Did that Really Happen? Carmel on Canvas Plein Air Competition September, 2018 Carmel, IN 1st Place Painting in Carmel was quite the adventure and a quite yet bustling place I would like to visit again. It was HOT! I finished 3 paintings over 2 days that I turned in for prizes and sales. No sales but I did pick up some nice recognition! I also competed in a quick paint with only 1.5 hours to paint in a farmers market. That really pushed me to work fast and only worry about the important parts. Northbrook Plain Air Festival I experienced a multitude of distractions trying to accomplish finishing two paintings worth turning in: rain, a grease truck blocking me, weather and work. I learned so much hanging out with my painting buddies and made a few new friends with some very accomplished artists. Art Created at this even is for sale in Northbrook, IL! Reception: Sunday, November 18th 2-4pm Northbrook Historical Society 1776 Walters Avenue Northbrook, IL Come see 100+ paintings from the 2018 Northbrook Plein Air Painting Festival at the Northbrook Historical Society.
